About This Tool
Fill in one form and get the SEO meta tags for a page as ready-to-paste HTML. Title, description, Open Graph, Twitter Card and the advanced tags are all in one place, and the output is shaped exactly as it should sit inside <head>. No installation, no sign-up.
Useful when you have just published a new page or product and want the right title and snippet to show up in Google, or when you share a link in a chat app and the wrong image and headline appear. For a multilingual site you can add hreflang rows so each language points at its own version in search results.
Character counters next to the title and description show how much room is left against the 60 and 160 character targets, and the Google preview updates as you type. Copy the output or download it as an HTML file. What you type stays on your device and is not stored by us.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I put the generated code on my site?
Copy the output and paste it inside the page's <head> section, before the closing tag. Most WordPress themes and site builders have a "header scripts" or "code in head" field that accepts exactly this.
Do I have to fill in the Open Graph and Twitter fields?
No. Anything you leave empty falls back to the field above it: the OG title comes from the page title, the Twitter title from the OG title and the Twitter image from the OG image. Only the featured image URL has no fallback, so enter that one yourself.
How do I add hreflang for a multilingual site?
Open the advanced settings and click "Add hreflang" once per language: the language code such as fa or en in the first box, the full URL of that version in the second. Each row has its own remove button.
How do I keep a page out of search results?
In the advanced settings, pick noindex in the Robots group. nofollow is a separate choice and tells crawlers not to follow the links on the page. To block a whole path instead, use the robots.txt generator.
What do the 0 / 60 and 0 / 160 counters mean?
They show the recommended length for the title and description. You can write more (the title field holds up to 120 characters and the description up to 320) but Google will likely cut the end off, so put the important words first.
How do I save the output as a file?
The download button next to the output saves a file named seo-tags.html that you can keep or hand to whoever maintains the site.
What size should the og:image be?
Roughly 1200 by 630 pixels works everywhere. The URL has to be absolute and served over https, not a relative path, because the social network fetches it from its own servers.
What is the difference between summary and summary_large_image?
summary shows a small square thumbnail beside the text, while summary_large_image puts a full-width image above the headline. The second gets more attention for articles and products.
If I already have Open Graph, do I need Twitter Card tags?
Not really. With no Twitter tags present, Twitter falls back to the Open Graph ones. Fill the Twitter fields only when you want a different headline or image there.
When should I set a canonical URL?
When the same content is reachable at more than one address, such as URLs with filter or search parameters, or www and non-www versions. Point canonical at the address you want treated as the original.
Why is there no keywords tag?
Google has ignored it for years and filling it in does not affect ranking. Spend that time on the title and description instead.
What does theme-color do?
It sets the colour of the browser toolbar on mobile while your site is open. Your main brand colour is usually the right pick.
How do I check the result after adding the tags?
The Google preview on this page shows how the title and description will read. To see how the link unfurls on social networks, paste the address into the link preview tool.
Is anything I type here stored?
No. The form and the output are built on your own device and the field contents are not stored by us. Nothing survives closing the tab, so copy or download the code first.
